Spoke Artwork is happy to current Motions, a solo exhibition of latest works by Oakland-based artist Pemex. Celebrated internationally for his graffiti, Pemex’s current works are impressed by the cultural influences stemming from his travels all through South America and Mexico.
This new physique of labor includes a collection of fastidiously constructed oil work created over the past 12 months as a part of an artist residency in Mexico Metropolis. Whereas creating these items, Pemex mirrored on the duality of life; actually for these dwelling in Mexico Metropolis and spiritually via the depiction of themes comparable to life and demise.
