What do the phrases ‘entry’ and ‘Accessibility’ imply to you? How do you think about expanded entry to VoCA’s programming?

VoCA acknowledges that there are all the time methods we might be and do higher; we regularly search to enhance accessibility and usefulness throughout our applications for present community members, in addition to colleagues we now have but to satisfy.

For that reason, we’ve partnered with our colleague Haley Moyse Fenning, who we first met when she attended the VoCA Artist Interview Workshop held at LACMA in 2020. Haley is a researcher and cultural producer who’s pursuing her doctorate on the College of Sussex, with a concentrate on broadening entry to the important work and concepts of up to date artists. When the Arts and Humanities Analysis Council provided her the chance to undertake a placement with a corporation that she’d wish to contribute to, she instantly considered VoCA, and we’re so glad that she did. Haley is working with us as we dive deeper into what it means to increase entry and accessibility for VoCA’s current community by gathering and analyzing suggestions from community members, figuring out areas for improved entry & Accessibility, and supporting VoCA to articulate, develop, and implement our Accessibility efforts.
